A lovely elm and beech Windsor dining table designed by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in the 1950's. It has an oval shape that conveniently folds down to fit into a compact space. The beautiful grain of the elm wood and the elegant beech splayed legs really give this table a stylish look. The blue ercol label on the frame of the table dates it to between 1954 to 1976.
It would look at home in both the kitchen and dining room, accommodating two people when the drop leaves are folded down and 4 -6 when opened up.
It has been well cared for and just needed a light cleaning and oiling to enhance the wood and protect it for future use. There is a dark scratch line on one of the leaves of the table and the splayed legs have a slightly mottled look - please see photos. However it is in great condition and hard to believe it is mid-century.
Dimensions when folded down are: 113cm w; 65cm d; (leg to leg 70cm D;) 73cm h.
Dimensions when extended are: 113cm w; 124cm d; 73cm h.
The set of 4 Ercol Quaker chairs are available on a separate listing on Advintique.
