An incredibly stylish solid teak coffee table designed in the 50s by Hvidt and Molgaard-Nielsen for France and Daverkosen (later to become France & Son) in Denmark.
It is beautifully crafted - the edges of the coffee table are slightly curved, the legs gently taper, the magazine shelf has been made from teak and woven cane and the table overall has a lovely shape to it. The quality of the teak is shown in both the grain and colour of the wood.
Underneath the table top there is a gold badge with F&F France & Son, Denmark and a gold stamp with fd stamped within a gold circle and made in Denmark.
It is in a lovely condition with all the cane in tact. The table top has been lightly sanded and coated with Danish oil to both enhance and protect it. It has a small dark mark on the table top - please see photos.
