This wonderful very unusual concave sideboard was designed by W H Russell and produced by Gordon Russell in 1962 in a combination of Bombay (Indian) rosewood and mahogany. It is the most superb quality dresser I have come across with a seldom seen curved, concave front. Each cupboard with a single adjustable shelf to 6 levels has a beautifully curving hinged door (please see photo 3). The top drawer has 11 cutlery divisions all lined in a luxurious soft green velvet lining. Original steel drawer handles also echo the curved theme whilst the whole sideboard is raised on octagonal legs. The beautifully grained wood has a lovely gloss finish to it. It is difficult to take photos that do it justice.

It is in an excellent used condition with what might be a darkish mark on the top of the sideboard but blends in with the pattern of the wood grain (photo 10) and also a dark mark to the right of the first metal handle (photo 8). Neither of these deter from the overall style and quality of this sideboard.
