A Mid-Century Modern glazed ceramic vase designed for Bay Keramik of West Germany in the 60s when many geometric molded patterns were introduced in combination with strong colours. This is a beautiful 1960's Bay decorative vase with geometric patterns and vibrant shades of turquoise and blue. At 52cm in height it looks wonderful as a floor vase but would also look stunning placed on a console table or similar piece of furniture. The base has Bay W-Germany 609-50 on the base.
Near the base of the vase a small hole has been drilled (see photo 5 ) - as though the vase may have been used as the base of a table lamp - and could be again. A smaller vase could be inserted inside if fresh flowers are to be displayed in it. The vase is in an excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
