A large Victorian gold framed overmantel mirror with an arched top and right angled base. This gilded mirror has a red undertone that comes from a compound known as red clay bole often used as a pigment for gilding, which give it a rich warm colour. There is some lovely handcarved beading and foliage around the mirror.
The mirror is in very good condition and looks like it has been replaced more recently, as has the back of the mirror. Please see photos.
