A set of Ercol kitchen/dining chairs known as the 391 models or 'flying back' due to their creatively designed chair backs. The rails and seats are made from elm and the legs and backs from beech. They are simple, well proportioned and graceful chairs which have been designed to last. As you will see in the last photo Ercol marketed these chairs as pretty chairs which have a finish which can take steam or potato peelings or football boots without complaining. Ercol chairs are good to sit on, good to look at ...
Made in the 60's these chairs are in a good sturdy condition with minor dints and dents on them as expected. One of the back rails of one chair has what looks like ink marks on it and the seat of one of the chairs also has similar marks. Please study the photos and video.
