This is a very versatile desk which with the clever use of two brass hinges opens up from a flat topped desk to a useful writing/work table with 7 interior compartments useful for storing letters, notebooks, papers etc. It is a reproduction of an early 1900s writing desk with it's crinoline stretchers stabilising the legs, and it's leather letter writing surface. However as you see from the photos it easily accommodates a laptop computer for modern day use and also has a modern look to it. Practically it is a good compact size and the hinged top when closed hides all your papers away.
It is in a very good vintage condition with very few nicks and surface scratches (please see photos).
