A traditional refectory dining set designed and hand crafted by Ercol. The table has solid beautifully carved legs and a smooth table top with curved edges. It is made from solid wood and is the Golden Dawn colour. This table has a gold label and dates from 1980 but was designed in the 50's. It comfortably seats 6 people.
Around the table are 6 Ercol Windsor Quaker dining chairs. made from solid elm and beech and are a charming variation of the traditional Windsor theme. The classic simplicity of the tall domed back has a special appeal. The chair bow is steam bent from a single piece of ash shaped to give its subtle and elegant profile. Each chair has the Ercol Gold label on them which can be found underneath the seat. They also have the original seat pads and covers with them which would add a cottagecore look to your home or otherwise the covers can be easily replaced.
The table has been well cared for. It has a few scratches on the table top as expected for a dining table of this age but this does not deter from its charm and character.
The chairs have also been well cared for over their lifetime and the original cushions have protected the chair seats. There are a few minor nicks and scratches on the chairs and a small crack on the seat of one chair which has not affected the stability of the chair.(Please see photos).
