A versatile Windsor bookcase which is made by Ercol from solid light coloured Ash. The wood grain in the ash adds real beauty to this stylish bookcase. The attention to detail from Ercol never ceases to surprise me. There are 2 adjustable shelves with option of placing them at 16 different levels, spaced approx 2.5 cm apart. There is also a groove towards the back of each shelf (including the fixed bottom shelf) allowing ornate plates to be displayed. There are concealed adjustable feet that can be altered by lifting out the circular inserts on the bottom shelf. The biggest surprise is the spare shelf that is concealed behind the inset panel, just below the top of the bookcase. If you wish to you can turn the bookcase into a 4 shelf bookcase. It is not as deep as the other shelves but is useful for storing smaller books or collectibles on.
The bookcase should be fixed to the wall for stability. Fixtures and fittings are provided for this.
This bookcase has been very well cared for with just a few very minor surface scratches on the top (please see photos).
This Windsor bookcase is still produced today in UK by Ercol, priced at £1985 and this is one of the more recent models.
