hese characterful benches were made in the early 1900s and feature traditional tusk tenon joinery on the support legs. They are made from stained pine and have a lovely rustic look to them. The benches have been cleaned and treated with a nourishing wood oil which has enhanced the colour and grain of the wood showing it's natural patina. They are very sturdy benches and would look great in a kitchen or dining room where a rustic look is required. Also really useful in hallways and as extra seating indoor or outdoors as they are slim and easy to store away.
The benches have been well cared with the usual nicks and scratches that you would expect from use over time. One of the benches has an indentation at the end of it, perhaps where a wood knot was originally (please see photos).
Sold as a pair.
